News: S-216-JB Series Pump Upgrade
Sprague has upgraded all higher ratio J version pumps (60:1 - 300:1 ratios). This means they discontinued the higher ratio J, JN, JS & JSN series and now only offer them as JB, JBN, JBS & JBSN series pumps. The "B" design incorporates a new liquid piston bushing system that improves alignment and provides longer piston seal life when pumping water or other low-lubricity fluids (up to 5X longer).
NOTE: This is strictly an internal improvement and does NOT affect external dimensions
or pump function.
The lower ratio pumps (10:1 - 35:1) are still available in the original J and JN series. The improved JB version pump is also available in the 35:1 ratio as an option. Additionally, the S-216-J-125N pump is now replaced by the new S-216-JB-101 (10,000 psi, NPT liquid outlet porting).
